teaching is a hard occupation where teachers not only have to deal with students behavior but teachers also have to keep themselves on track so that by end of each semester EVERYTHING IS COVERED AND THE STUDENTS ARE READY TO SIT FOR THEIR EXAMS..
personally,my major concern is I won't be able to teach within the time frame given to me..and i feel that as a result, some of the students will be left behind as I keep on rushing and hoping students will catch up on their own..as a teacher i feel bad doing so but somehow it hit me..if i keep on feeding my pupils EVERYTHING THAT THEY NEED, WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO LEARN ON THEIR OWN?
was it selfish of me to think that way? or is it the right thing to do?
i'm thinking of a different method to be used in class - TEAM TEACHING..unfortunately, in Malaysia, people are not fond with team teaching method.. the idea that we have to share and others are going to observe us in class seems so alien to us..but in a way, wouldn't it be a good method to make sure the learning process goes smoothly especially in large classes.. think about it..would you prefer to have 2 teachers (1 teach, 1 assist) in 60 students in a class or a single teacher with the same amount of students..
but obviously, things are easier said than done..so, if there's anyone who had an experience in team teaching, do tell..i am more than happy to learn about it
